How this works
XBT kept Bitcoin's issuance schedule: the block reward halves every 210,000 blocks. The current epoch runs from block 840,000 (April 2024, shared history) to block 1,050,000. XBT split from Bitcoin at block 961,632, so both chains count toward the same halving height, but each chain's own block speed decides when it gets there. Estimates use each chain's average block time this difficulty period and move as hash rate changes.
