Where to Buy XBT (Bitcoin BLAKE2b)
Short answer: NeoxEX (Neoxa Exchange) is where most XBT trading happens today. It has three XBT markets (USDC, USDT and BTC), the deepest order books, and deposits and withdrawals on the BLAKE2b network. NonKYC is the main alternative.

XBT/BTC prices are converted to USD using the current BTC price. Big gaps between venues are normal for a young, thinly traded coin.
Exchanges that list XBT
| Exchange | Ticker used | Markets | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| NeoxEX neoxa.exchange | XBT (BTCB2 in its API) | USDC, USDT, BTC | Highest XBT volume. Order book plus an automated liquidity pool. Fees about 0.1% maker / 0.2% taker. Public API. |
| NonKYC nonkyc.io | BTCB2 | USDT | No-KYC exchange. Deposits and withdrawals were reported paused in early September; check the asset status before you send anything. |
| SafeTrade | BIP110 | USDT | Market listed under a different ticker. Transfers not independently verified at time of writing. |
XBT is not on Coinbase, Kraken, Binance or other large exchanges, and it isn't tracked by CoinGecko or CoinMarketCap. If a big exchange shows "XBT", it almost certainly means regular Bitcoin (see below).
Watch the ticker. The same coin trades as XBT, BTCB2 or BIP110 depending on the venue, and on Kraken and other institutional platforms XBT means ordinary Bitcoin. Before any deposit, confirm the network says Bitcoin BLAKE2b. Never send XBT to a regular Bitcoin address or exchange wallet, and never send regular BTC to an XBT deposit address.
How to buy XBT on NeoxEX, step by step

- Create an account at neoxa.exchange and turn on two-factor login right away.
- Deposit what you'll pay with. The XBT/BTC market has the most volume, so depositing BTC usually gets the best fill. USDC and USDT work too.
- Pick the market (XBT/BTC, XBT/USDC or XBT/USDT) and compare it against the live table above.
- Use a limit order, not a market order. Order books are thin, and a market order can fill several percent worse than the price you see. Place your order near the best bid or ask and wait.
- Withdraw to a wallet you control. Small exchanges carry custody risk. Use a BLAKE2b-aware wallet (for example the Sparrow BLAKE2b build or Bitcoin Knots with BLAKE2b support), send a small test amount first, and confirm it arrives before moving the rest.
Tips before you buy
- Expect big swings. XBT spiked as high as about $1,800 in early September, then fell more than 80% within weeks. Size your position for that.
- Check the spread and depth. The Exchanges table on xbt.live shows bid, ask and volume for every venue.
- Buying is not affected by the 45-day miner lock. A soft fork from block 973,440 locks newly mined block rewards for about 45 days. Coins you buy on an exchange are ordinary coins you can move right away.
- Already held Bitcoin before August 8, 2026? You may already own XBT from the fork at block 961,632. Research replay protection and use a wallet built for the BLAKE2b chain before you move those coins, so you don't risk your BTC.
- Watch mining concentration. One pool has at times held a large share of blocks. The pool meter shows the current split.
Risks
XBT is a young minority fork with thin liquidity, few exchanges and an active governance debate. Exchanges this small can pause withdrawals, delist a coin or fail. The ticker and even the mining algorithm could change. Only put in what you can afford to lose, and keep your coins in your own wallet when you're not trading.
