- The run: four straight up days from Sunday to Thursday, peaking at a $1,188 high on Oct 8.
- The pullback: about 11% off Thursday's $937 close. A dip, not a bear market. XBT has already had three of those.
- Against BTC: about 101 XBT buy 1 BTC.

- Hash rate passed 43 PH/s, and blocks are still coming faster than every 9 minutes. The next difficulty retarget, around Oct 17, looks like about +17% after +10% last time.
- CONVOY relaunched and released DATUM Gateway 0.5.0 beta, the first DATUM release built for BLAKE2b.
- About 70% of blocks came from pools that let miners build their own templates with DATUM. The largest pool found about 32%.

A poll in the Bitcoin Knots Discord asks whether to extend the 45-day lock on new block rewards until the RDTS soft fork expires, about a year away. Miners are split: some urge NO, others want the long lock to push out short-term hash. The vote, explained 路 Our take.

- NeoxEX published proof of reserves, with cold wallets holding about 5,581 XBT and 16.4 BTC, each checkable on a public explorer.
- Nodes: about 959 reachable, 85% enforcing the coinbase lock, and Knots on about 82%.
