XBT Hashrate & Price
XBT price (left axis) and network hashrate (right axis) since the chain split on Aug 8, 2026. Updated every few minutes.
What this chart shows
Hashrate is the total computing power securing the XBT chain. Miners point machines at XBT when the price makes it worth the electricity, so hashrate tends to follow price with a lag. When price rises and hashrate stays flat, mining gets more profitable. When hashrate climbs faster than price, margins get squeezed.
The price line starts Sep 1, 2026, the first day XBT traded. Hashrate starts at the split (block 961,632). The opening listing-day trades on an empty order book are excluded, same as the home page chart.
The unlock window
Coins from blocks 973,440 to 979,920 were mined with a lock. They unlock in order through block 986,400, about 450 XBT a day. The shaded band marks the blocks whose rewards are locked. Unlocks start at block 979,920, around early November, and a second band will appear when they begin. Live countdown on the unlock page.
How hashrate is estimated
Nobody can measure hashrate directly. It is estimated from how fast blocks are found at the current difficulty, then averaged per day. Daily values are noisy, so the default view smooths them with a 7 day simple moving average (SMA 7). Switch to Raw to see daily values.
