XBT rebounds to $820, about 41% off Monday’s low
A day after printing its lowest prices in a month, XBT ripped back. It touched $820 on NeoxEX Tuesday afternoon, about 41% above Monday evening's $582 low there, and traded around $800 by 4:30pm ET, up about 21% on the day.
How it went
| Time (ET) | What happened |
|---|---|
| Mon 5pm | Low of $582 on NeoxEX (NonKYC wicked as low as $502) |
| Mon night | Slow climb back to about $660 |
| Tue morning | Holds around $700 |
| Tue 2pm | Breaks out, $713 to $776 in an hour |
| Tue 4pm | High of $820, trading about $800 |
Hourly candles from NeoxEX's XBT/USDC market. NonKYC traded a little higher, near $817.
Where that leaves XBT
- Back above its 7-day average (about $796) and well above its 30-day average (about $651).
- Still about 26% below Saturday's $1,087 high and 55% below the $1,799 all-time high.
- Against bitcoin, about 0.0096 BTC, or roughly 104 XBT per BTC.
It's the same pattern as the sell-offs, in reverse: thin order books let a modest amount of buying move price fast. This week XBT has swung between about $500 and $1,087. Expect more of that.
Still ahead
- Around Oct 17: difficulty rises about 15%.
- From about Oct 30: roughly 450 XBT a day of locked mining rewards start unlocking. Countdown.
